Greatest is a Finnish nicotine pouch brand with one big idea: a dry, sharp mint pouch that barely drips and lasts a long time. Greatest is produced by Premium Pouch Global, an independent Finnish company (registered as Premium Pouch Finland Oy) that runs exactly two brands: Greatest and Puff & Pouch. That is a small portfolio compared with the multinationals behind Zyn or Velo, and it shows in the product: Greatest is not trying to cover every taste category. It has one flagship — Greatest Cold Dry — and everything else in the range is a variation on it.

The brand's home market is Finland, where Cold Dry became the best-selling pouch within a short time of launch. That success carried it into Sweden and the rest of Europe, and now to US customers through Atlantic Pouches, the US sister store of Europesnus.com.

One naming note: in the Nordics, pouches are often casually called "snus," so you will see "Greatest snus" in searches and even in some of the brand's own marketing. Greatest is not snus. It contains no tobacco — the filling is plant fiber, water, flavoring, salt and pharmaceutical-grade nicotine. Traditional snus is a tobacco product; Greatest is a white, tobacco-free nicotine pouch.

Cold Dry is both the name of Greatest's signature flavor and a description of the pouch itself.

Cold is the flavor: a sharp, clean peppermint with a strong cooling effect and no sweetness. There is no sugar-style finish and no candy note — it is closer to a very cold, very fresh mint than to a chewing-gum mint. The Arctic Edition takes the same profile and pushes the menthol even further forward.

Dry is the pouch. Most European strong pouches (Killa, Pablo, Iceberg) are moist: they start releasing immediately, drip a lot in the first minutes, and fade faster. Greatest uses a dry-surface slim pouch. When you put it in, it feels dry against the gum, there is very little initial drip, and nicotine and flavor come through gradually as the pouch absorbs saliva. This is the part that confuses most US buyers. American brands print mg per pouch on the can: a Zyn 6 has 6 mg of nicotine in each pouch. European brands, including Greatest, print mg/g — milligrams of nicotine per gram of pouch material. To know what is actually in one pouch, you multiply by the pouch weight.

A standard slim Greatest pouch weighs about 0.7 g. So:

Two practical consequences. First, "Greatest 16" is not almost three times a Zyn 6 — it is closer to twice, because the mg/g figure overstates what is in a single pouch. Second, the Cold Dry XL has the same 16 mg/g printed on the can as standard Cold Dry, but the pouch is much bigger, so each XL pouch carries more nicotine and runs longer. Same concentration, more material.

Strength is also not only about the number. Because the dry pouch releases gradually, a Greatest 16 mg/g feels smoother in the first minutes than a moist 16 mg/g Killa, even though the per-pouch nicotine is similar. Give it ten minutes before judging.

Cold Dry (the core line)

Greatest pouches are all-white and tobacco-free. The filling is plant-based fibers (the bulk of the pouch), water, food-grade flavorings, a sweetener, salt and nicotine.
